DRAYA JADE

Draya Jade is a singer/songwriter and visual artist from Cleveland, OH. Though her musical style is predominantly alternative R&B/Soul, her musical influences are widely versatile across many different styles and genres. 
She had an interest in the arts at a very young age and started writing her own music as a young girl as a means of expressing herself creatively and emotionally. In her childhood, her roots in singing and performing started mostly in choir and theater. As a teenager, she would write and perform music (mostly with acoustic guitar), but she didn’t pursue her craft more seriously until her second year of college when she decided she wanted to start familiarizing herself with music production and self-recording. Since then, she’s spent her time developing her sound and style by exploring her musical influences, producing her own music, and by studying and working with other artists and creatives. 
As Draya says creating music is a source of emotional processing, growth, and inner healing for herself, she hopes to offer a sense of healing, insight, and light to others through her music as well. She aspires to create music that connects with listeners and promotes self-awareness, self-compassion, positive transformation, and higher perspectives through honest, heartfelt lyricism and compelling vocal performance.
